Welcome to the 35th edition of the Shopware United Community Digest!

If April was the month “agentic” matured in everyone’s vocabulary, May was the month the foundations got built. The headline milestone was Shopware Nexus reaching general availability: a native, event-based integration platform that connects Shopware to systems like Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, Slack, and AWS S3. Alongside it, the 6.7.10.0 release moved AI commerce from talk to tooling: the Agentic Commerce sales channel gained a working OpenAI product feed, and Copilot took its first agentic actions with the Blueprint preview. The community mood matched the theme: at a Shopware United lunch in Copenhagen, merchants dug into what it actually means to own your ecommerce infrastructure, from tech to brand. Add a finalised SCD 2026 agenda, the return of the AI Superstars Summit, and a steady stream of supporter writing from EXWE, Paqato, H1, Strix, and others, and May reads less like hype and more like groundwork.

A big thank you to everyone who wrote, recorded, presented, and shipped this month! Your contributions keep this digest worth reading. Enjoy the highlights!

On May 21st, Shopware United gathered a small group of industry leaders for lunch at La Rocca in Copenhagen. No slides, no demos, just one honest question: do you know where your data is, who owns it, and what it costs you?

Three partners brought different angles on the same theme.

Open Commerce framed it as a discovery exercise: mapping your systems, checking where your data actually lives, and architecting the right setup before you commit to a direction.

Custobar showed how scattered customer data quietly drains value, and why an EU-based profile you own changes the game.

Hypernode grounded it in infrastructure, where the wrong hosting setup hits your margin before it shows up in a report.

The takeaway: the businesses that thrive are the ones that check the map before picking up speed.

  • Shopware 6.7.10.0 – Release News for May 2026 (Author: Anna Nordhoff) | May 6, 2026 The May minor release introduces a new Agentic Commerce sales channel: a top-level channel that exports products as compliant JSONL feeds to AI platforms (starting with an OpenAI product feed) and tracks AI-referred traffic via the existing affiliate infrastructure. Also includes custom Open Graph data for products, “Display best matching variant” in listings, accurate purchase limits for closeout products, 3D model animations in the storefront, internal order comments in the order list, and cookie-bar accessibility improvements. Developer-side: optional rate limiters for login/OAuth, JSONL export, a move to SHA-256 for product grouping, app-requirement validation, and an option to disable product search keyword indexing. Flagged as coming soon: the first agentic Copilot capabilities (Blueprint, free during beta) and new Shopware Analytics metrics (conversion rate, channel revenue distribution, search terms).
